San Francisco Bay Trail in Richmond

Friends of the Bay Trail in Richmond,

You may  enjoy reading this ( PDF ) National Park Service newsletter praising the San Francisco Bay Trail in Richmond due to its riches of interpretive exhibits and trail guides developed and put in place over the last decade.  The article provides excellent perspectives on all that has been accomplished to enhance access and appreciation of the Bay Trail in Richmond.  Credit for the hard work and creative processes involved goes to  Donald Bastin and Fraser Felter of TRAC’s Interpretive Subcommittee working with talented graphic design artists Bette Tarr and Jan Brown — all of whom reside in Richmond.  None of this would have been possible without the encouragement and financial support provided by East Bay Regional Park District, Republic Services, Richmond Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Port & City of Richmond, San Francisco Bay Trail Project, West County Wastewater District, Toll Brothers and last, but not least, the National Park Service.

The best way to view these exhibits is to get out on the Bay Trail; however, a sampling may be viewed on TRAC’s award-winning website created and maintained by David Moore of Sincere Design.

Bruce Beyaert, TRAC Chair
