Richmond Business and Procurement Fair a Success. NEW Craneway Conference Center Open
We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the Sell Big: Richmond Business and Procurement Fair that took place at the new Craneway Conference Center on May 10th.
May is "Small Business Month" and this this event was dedicated to our local small businesses. We partnered with the City of Richmond, The Small Business Administration, Point Richmond Business Association, 23rd Street Merchants and Richmond Main Street to help us reach our market. We want to thank our major sponsors who were the City of Richmond, Mechanics Bank and Nicholls Engineering.
I hope you were able to attend the excellent workshops on doing business with government and corporate entities like the Berkeley Lawrence National Lab, Chevron, the City of Richmond and EBMUD. The workshops also offered tools to certify your business and how to start, grow and finance a small business.
Along side the excellent workshops, our business community had the opportunity to display their products and services. The day concluded with a networking hour featuring beverages and appetizers provided by the BoilerHouse Restaurant, Costco, and Zoe's Cookies.
With over 250 small businesses in attendance we introduced and congratulated Zoe Smith of Zoe's Cookies and Other Delights as our "Small Business of the Year". We also had the privilege to cut the ribbon introducing the Craneway's brand new Conference Center. Attendees expressed how much they enjoyed the new facility, the networking and the opportunity to gain tools on how to do business with the big guys. Thank you for helping us help small business succeed!
