In its second year, the Divine Play AcroYoga Festival is all about getting people to have fun on the mat. The lineages of AcroYoga have existed for thousands of years, but in 2004 Jenny Sauer-Klein & Jason Nemer codified the practice, weaving Thai Massage, Acrobatics and Yoga together, created a manual and was the first to certify teachers with the mission of bringing more peace, playfulness, and joy into the world.

With a triangle foundation for AcroYoga that combines the spiritual wisdom of yoga, the loving kindness of Thai massage, and the dynamic power of Acrobatics into one, this festival is truly the birthchild of a dream: “Our highest aim is to bring individuals into a state of union with themselves, with each other, and with the divine. From this place of mutual support the true self can be realized, celebrated and shared for the benefit of all.”

Located in the glass-walled Craneway Pavilion nestled on the shores of the San Fransisco Bay, this giant 30,000 square foot space becomes the home for multiple group mat areas, 50-plus highly-trained AcroYoga instructors, and a ton of people that aren’t involved in this practice to be serious
